Vision:

“Oasis” defined:  A fertile or green area in a dry region; something providing relief from boring or dreary routine; a Refuge, Resort, and Resource

“Refuge” defined:  A shelter or protection from danger.

“Resort” defined:  One who is looked to for help.  A popular place (familiar, liked by the people).  A place providing entertainment and recreation.

“Resource” defined:  A source of supply or support.  An available means.  A source of information or expertise.  A source of help or strength.  A source of revenue or wealth.

The Palm Tree:
“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree” (Psalm 92:12).  Our Church symbol is the palm tree.  The palm leaf is a symbol of victory or rejoicing, praise and worship.  It is used as a military decoration and used to crown victors.  It symbolizes honor and triumph.  It resembles and represents the outstretched hand of God.  The palm tree, unlike other trees, gets its source of life from its center or heart.  It is green perennially.  Life flows within its being continually.  “Palm-Tree Christians” are always alive, vibrant and a witness of God’s grace day in and day out.  The Palm Tree symbolizes strength, victory, praise and success

The OFC vision also includes a vision to:
