Our Beliefs
The Person and Work of Jesus Christ: He was and is God. The Word was God (John 1:1-4).
I and the Father are one (John 10:30; see also Col 1:13-20, Col. 2:9, and 2 Corinthians 5:19)
He was born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14, Matt. 1:23-25). He lived a sinless life (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15).
He performed miracles which are recorded in the gospels (Matt 8)
His substitutionary and atoning death was for all mankind (Matt 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, Mark 10:45, Isa 53:5, 1 Pet. 2:24).
He was bodily resurrected which is recorded in each gospel (Matt 28, Mark 16, Luk3 25, john 20; 21).
He ascended to the right hand of the Father and is now the Head of the Church (His Body), the High Priest of the new covenant, and He ever liveth to make intercession for us (Mark 16:19, Acts 1:9-11, Acts 7:55, Eph. 1:22-23, Heb. 3;1, 4:14, 7:25).
He will return in Glory (1 Thess. 4:13-17, Acts 1:11, Matt. 16:27, Luke 9:26, Matt. 24:30).
The Holy Spirit’s Ministry: The present, supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit as the Bestower of the spiritual gifts of: The Word of Wisdom, The Word of Knowledge, The Gift of Faith, The Gifts of Healings.
The Working of Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Various Kinds of Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues. All these gifts have operated in and among believers on the earth since the day of Pentecost and will continue until our Lord’s return (1 Cor. 13:9-12).
Communion: We participate in communion which symbolizes a two-fold redemption of man.
The bread symbolizes spiritual, physical and emotional redemption (Isa. 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24). The wine (or grape juice) symbolizes spiritual redemption (Heb. 9:22, Eph. 1:7). See also 1 Cor. 11:27-31, 14:1, 2 Peter 1:7, 1 Thess 3:12-13.
Tithes, Offering and Alms Giving: It is God’s will that every believer be a giver of both tithes and offerings. Those who do not are under a curse and are robbing God (Mal 3:8-12).
Those who do receive tremendous blessings and the devourer is rebuked (Prov. 19:17, 2 Cor. 9:6-12, Heb. 7).
Faith: Faith is a major doctrine of the Bible.
Faith believes with the heart and confesses with the mouth (Romans 10:8-10).
Faith believes that it receives at the time it prays (Mark 11:22-24).
Without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6).
Prosperity of Believers: It is God’s will that His children live in financial, material, and social well-being (Phil 4:19). This prosperity is directly proportional to his/her soul’s prosperity (the renewed mind and walking in obedience toward God) (3 John 2). We are blessed to be a blessing (Deut 8:18, 2 Cor. 9:8).
Fellowship of Believers: Each believer should be an involved supporting member of some local church and should maintain regular fellowship (Heb. 10:2-24). The early church in the Book of Acts continually fellowshipped with each other and prayed and received teaching. This is what made the early church so powerful and united (Acts 2:42-27).
Walking in Love: Walking in love toward God and man is of great importance because it is the greatest commandment (Matt. 22:37-39). We must keep ourselves in the love of God if we are to grow and mature and walk in holiness (1 Thess 3:12-13, Jude 21). It is by love that men will know we are His disciples (John 13:34-35, 1 Cor. 13).
God’s Correction: God’s method of chastisement and correction is His Word, not sickness or tragedy. Sickness or tragedy is not God’s way of teaching or correcting His children. He always uses His Word to prune, cleanse, chastise, correct and teach His children.
